"WHO is not against us is for us," says the LORD JESUS \u200b\u200b

XXVI Sunday in Ordinary Time, September 27, 2009, years B.

SPIRIT of God is not the slave project and prejudices of man, he knows no barriers or constraints, we who must recognize where he is acting. The man becomes intolerant when he fears that someone may steal a monopoly on truth and authority. And because this is not entirely sure of himself is inwardly free (I Read).
For Jesus (Gospel), this inner freedom, and able to appreciate good wherever he is, not to be confused with relativism worst. He takes as a benchmark that counts the most in view of man: himself, his hand, his foot, his eye. Shock is to be understood as an obstacle to the life of faith. Faced with this danger, the man must be willing to renounce any belief in order to save. Everything else would become meaningless without faith. San Giacomo (II reading) invites us to be radical in your faith, listening to God speaking to us. His Word is sometimes sharp. It is in these circumstances that the Lord calls us with more strength, that we have the courage and strength to make fundamental decisions of our lives.

PLEASE WITH THE GOSPEL

Your word Lord, today is very demanding. It reminds us of the miracle that we have to make: cut it in us that is double and hypocritical, and that shocked his brother, to unify our lives in love. Help us to make our existence is not a possession but a gift for everyone.

"If anyone wants to be first must be last of all"

XXV Sunday of Ordinary Time, September 20, 2009, the year b.

The first reading from the Book of Wisdom, makes us hear the thoughts of a persecutor, or rather a community of persecutors, "lies in wait at the right, because there is an embarrassment." It is not free of hatred, but hatred concerned: the righteous man is hated for his righteousness. Justice bother and should be done away with. The persecutors are also atheists, since they are sure that God will do nothing to defend the right: an atheist is not (only) those who think that God does not exist, but also those who think that he is impotent or indifferent.
The Gospel offers a prophecy of Jesus to his disciples about his coming death and resurrection. Why was Jesus crucified? To shut him up? Yes, but not all. His criticisms bother, but perhaps less for his testimony. More than one critic, Jesus was a witness. He declared blessed those who hunger and thirst for justice, and he himself lived by this hunger and this thirst, and informed. Invited to seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and he showed in his person what is justice. Worldwide bears, but not the testimony of justice.

Lord while ads that will make our servant to the gift of your life, the disciples argue about who among them is the greatest. Like them we too, in many ways, we welcome your person. Make us humble and small, because, to welcome the Kingdom, we must deny ourselves possess.

XXIV SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, September 13, 2009, the year B.

U.S. in the heart of the Gospel of Mark, revealing moments of the person of Jesus: "Who do people say I am?". After having performed miracles and preached the kingdom of God, as awareness of him? Embody the anxiety for truth and justice of the Baptist, or the announcement of the review announced by Elijah the prophet or simply a sign of hope for all the poor? It will be the confession of faith spoken by Peter: "You are the Christ," to make resound But the true face of Jesus as the Messiah? Here is the true face of Christ's obedience to the Father, the way of the cross and death, as a sign of total self-giving, where the Son of Man is revealed as the Son of God
"So also faith, if is not followed by works, is dead in itself. " The work of God is the face of humiliation, poor and suffering of Jesus, to be transfigured in the light of Christ. The work of God is the face of the Christian community, faithful to the Word and the Eucharist, will escape the temptation of power, Divisions: choose the path of giving, sacrifice and constant walking in the law of love.
