"WHO is not against us is for us," says the LORD JESUS \u200b\u200b

XXVI Sunday in Ordinary Time, September 27, 2009, years B.

SPIRIT of God is not the slave project and prejudices of man, he knows no barriers or constraints, we who must recognize where he is acting. The man becomes intolerant when he fears that someone may steal a monopoly on truth and authority. And because this is not entirely sure of himself is inwardly free (I Read).
For Jesus (Gospel), this inner freedom, and able to appreciate good wherever he is, not to be confused with relativism worst. He takes as a benchmark that counts the most in view of man: himself, his hand, his foot, his eye. Shock is to be understood as an obstacle to the life of faith. Faced with this danger, the man must be willing to renounce any belief in order to save. Everything else would become meaningless without faith. San Giacomo (II reading) invites us to be radical in your faith, listening to God speaking to us. His Word is sometimes sharp. It is in these circumstances that the Lord calls us with more strength, that we have the courage and strength to make fundamental decisions of our lives.

"If anyone wants to be first must be last of all"

XXV Sunday of Ordinary Time, September 20, 2009, the year b.

The first reading from the Book of Wisdom, makes us hear the thoughts of a persecutor, or rather a community of persecutors, "lies in wait at the right, because there is an embarrassment." It is not free of hatred, but hatred concerned: the righteous man is hated for his righteousness. Justice bother and should be done away with. The persecutors are also atheists, since they are sure that God will do nothing to defend the right: an atheist is not (only) those who think that God does not exist, but also those who think that he is impotent or indifferent.
The Gospel offers a prophecy of Jesus to his disciples about his coming death and resurrection. Why was Jesus crucified? To shut him up? Yes, but not all. His criticisms bother, but perhaps less for his testimony. More than one critic, Jesus was a witness. He declared blessed those who hunger and thirst for justice, and he himself lived by this hunger and this thirst, and informed. Invited to seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and he showed in his person what is justice. Worldwide bears, but not the testimony of justice.

XXIV SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME, September 13, 2009, the year B.

U.S. in the heart of the Gospel of Mark, revealing moments of the person of Jesus: "Who do people say I am?". After having performed miracles and preached the kingdom of God, as awareness of him? Embody the anxiety for truth and justice of the Baptist, or the announcement of the review announced by Elijah the prophet or simply a sign of hope for all the poor? It will be the confession of faith spoken by Peter: "You are the Christ," to make resound But the true face of Jesus as the Messiah? Here is the true face of Christ's obedience to the Father, the way of the cross and death, as a sign of total self-giving, where the Son of Man is revealed as the Son of God
"So also faith, if is not followed by works, is dead in itself. " The work of God is the face of humiliation, poor and suffering of Jesus, to be transfigured in the light of Christ. The work of God is the face of the Christian community, faithful to the Word and the Eucharist, will escape the temptation of power, Divisions: choose the path of giving, sacrifice and constant walking in the law of love.

Ascension of the Lord Sunday, May 24, 2009

accomplish the mission on earth, Jesus Back to Heaven. But not before he had entrusted the task to go and bear witness to the Word and the Cross. Two departures: that of Jesus who is taken to glory and that of the apostles sent around the world to every creature (Gospel).
skies take Jesus, hide it - the cloud - to the stares of his friends spellbound. The Ascension "shows" hiding something and what human eye can not see. Ceases to be seen by Jesus, but does not fail to be present. Indeed, "the Ascension, the final point eternally permanent incarnation is the prelude to the gift of the Spirit" (E. Schillebeeckx).
before Jesus walked and taught, he met many people and all spoke of the Kingdom of God on a mission Before the disciples saw the Lord in the beauty of his risen life and drew strength and courage to be his witnesses "to the ends" (The Reading). The Ascension of Jesus inaugurates a new presence in the world. He who ascended is the same that had descended (Reading II), a gift of love for all.

43 days WORLD COMMUNICATIONS "humanized NEW TECHNOLOGIES"

Today's Communication is strongly marked by rapid and continuous improvement cycle of technological innovation that, if a hand requires a continuous and strenuous effort to run the update, other communication offers new spaces and new ways of relating to others. Flickr, msn, avatars are the most recent time that we had to learn to learn to feel in tune with what's happening. Notwithstanding that, we have not yet fully assimilated words such as: Youtube, mp3, ipod, chat rooms, blogs, sms, mms, tag.
Personally I have always been very intrigued by the potential and dangers of the avatar. This term comes from the Hindu religion. In the world of the Net is simply to indicate the appearance and identity assumed in games or in chat graphics. More broadly the avatar is the alter ego of a virtual person. With this technique, for example, nearly seven million people have created a parallel life now on the Internet to the real one, that is living a second life social - that maybe you feel better reflects their potential never implemented in real life - in years shopping, cafes and streets and squares of virtual "Second Life".
But, as one can easily imagine, these new vehicles, while capable of activating multidirectional circuits of communication, as well as creating a gap between the technologically educated in the country and one that has no access to computer literacy, are not free from real dangers of social deviance as they are imported from the real world.
Hence the invitation of the Pope's message in today's day of social communications, the responsibility to ensure that we are all called upon to assume when we immerse ourselves in virtual worlds of new technologies. Among these there are some which concern us closely, as the phone, web, Youtube, blogs. The invitation is to use them as tools that promote positive man and life, encourage respect for ourselves and those around us, promote friendship and dialogue.

" THIS IS MY COMMANDMENT LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU "

V EASTER SUNDAY, May 17, 2009 .

the dominant theme of Easter liturgy is the love of Christ, which offers disciples a total commitment of life. In fact true love welcomes all believers, even the pagans, but to one and the other calls for two specific commitments: the greatest love: to give, like him, his life and the observance of his commandments. Love and obedience are mutually dependent: the love that Jesus asks, demands good behavior of human justice and ready for the actual gift itself. The Second Reading shows that God loves first and generates love in the heart of man. While those who does not love does not know God, the rest just "love knows love."
The First Reading tells us that, as Peter realizes that he who fears God and what is right is welcome to him, is renewed Pentecost: the Spirit descends on the pagans, with the wonder of Jews. The Gospel reaches its climax this Sunday: Jesus opens the secret of his conscience to his friends: it is between two opposing states, those of the servant and friend, reveals his friendship, "no longer call you servants," "but I have called friends. " End all forms of slavery: the love of Jesus Easter comes full and complete intimacy.

" I AM the true vine Abide in me and I in you "

V EASTER SUNDAY, May 10, 2009.

This Sunday may be called the feast of the baptismal fullness. " In fact it is a celebration of intimacy between Christ and the faithful reborn with him at Easter. Intimacy that leads to a double movement. On the one hand Jesus came down among us, on the other hand, the believer must turn to him, following the signs of life and remaining in his love, that is united to him as the branches to the vine. Identifying with the true vine, Jesus reveals that the disciples are the branches of that plant which is the spiritual Church (Gospel), which will be flourishing if we keep the commandments of the Master (Reading II).
and whoever receives the Spirit gets the vital knowledge of God, is stimulated to work and fraternal inserted in Christ. In fact, Paul, who saw the risen Lord, was adopted by the Apostles and to proclaim the Name of Jesus to others Jews, so that the Church enjoys the peace and is filled with the consolation of the Spirit (I Read). Jesus then warns that the Father, as winemaker, prune the branch of the vine, painful procedure, but necessary, to bear fruit. Who does not abide in Christ is like a tree that bears fruit: it is thrown into the fire to be burned.

" I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD. THE GOOD PASTOR gives his life for the sheep "

FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER, May 3, 2009.

In today's Gospel, Jesus' discourse that proclaims the Good Shepherd hits to this characteristic of goodness, love and care: he gives his life for his sheep. But often it flies over the lightly that he knows his sheep and calls them by name. This requires us to ask instead what it means for us to be known by Jesus in the Old Testament the verb "to know" implies great intimacy, a deep relationship: it was often reserved for the marital relationship. Jesus tells us that we know this: as a husband knows his wife. There is nothing abstract or vague: everyone is special and unique for him
It's like she said that Jesus, like the Father, can count only up to one. That is why, for this special bond he has with all of us, who gives his life for us. Let's say our name and hear him on the lips of the Master: he calls us by name. In Baptism is our name is combined with that of the Holy Trinity: God knows us and allows us to know love. Let us consider the second reading in this way: knowledge is only one of love and God knows us because we really really loves us.

May 3 - 46th World Day for Vocations "I know whom I gave my trust"

You the slogan that has chosen the National Center for Vocation and offered to all our Christian communities, to accompany the journey of vocations, which sees GMPV which today celebrates its climax, but also the stage of starting to prepare of many summer experiences of boys, adolescents and young that wind and intertwine throughout the Italian Church.

This message is proposed and carried by the poster accompanying the GMPV 2009: against the background of a window stand two hands meet: a circle and a mutual support in the acceptance and trust. It is a trust in the hands of someone, the Lord Jesus, able to welcome us, embrace blessing of life that encourages, consoles, and that gently echoes his "voice" inside to shake us and guide us on the way forward. Our communities today pray with one voice, because this call may be as a response to intense and loving, like the one expressed by St. Paul, writing to his loyal friend Timothy: "I know whom I gave my trust" (2 Timothy 1, 12).
is an invitation for every Christian feels this response on the lips and hearts ... to be together, in our culture often drugged and full, frantic and tired, "witnesses and prophets of confidence."

III EASTER SUNDAY, April 26, 2009.

Why are you troubled? ". This is the question that the Risen addresses his disciples and us on this Easter Sunday. Fear, in fact, often dwells in our hearts, lords it in our lives and takes away the hope, joy and strength to endure the hardships of life. It is interesting to see how Jesus reassures her: it denies the reality of pain or suffering, but it shows the wounded hands, the marks of the nails. It is the encounter with the weakness of the Crucified One that allows you to believe in his resurrection.
This encounter with death that makes us get at Easter. This episode is a continuation of the story of the disciples of Emmaus who, back in Jerusalem, the Church found in the place to meet again with the Lord, to be supported and comforted. Even for us today, we hear the invitation to find a place in the Church community to overcome fear, to be incurred in the faith when all seems injured or too weak to live. It is in the fraternity who feel the light shine on us in the face of God is often the support of the brothers that allows us to feel us in every moment of our lives, the words of the Risen Lord: "Peace be with you."

'BLESSED Those who have not seen and have believed "The Lord is truly risen

II EASTER SUNDAY, April 19, 2009 (Year B)

the life of Jesus Resurrection occupies an important place not only in terms of apologetic, as irrefutable response to the scandal of the cross, which is considered a negative factor with regard to the messianic expectations, but also from the standpoint of saving. The Resurrection is a "mystery" of Christ's life, part of the mystery of the Incarnation, it is part of the fulfillment of the things written about Jesus, as he himself said: "Thus it is written that the Christ should suffer and rise from the dead" (Luke 24.46).
On this Second Sunday of Easter, "the Sunday of Thomas", the readings present the Christian community as the result of the Easter event, a place to experience the resurrection of Christ. Each of us is like Thomas, wants to be a witness for the Lord and gives no weight to the testimony of others. And Christ, who generally shuns the morally, for he is the exception, and begged him: "Do not be faithless." And the disciple, "My Lord and my God." Beautiful formula of faith which describes Jesus as a man in whom dwells the glory of the Father. At the same time waiting for the human time, which are those of patience and humility. When should wait for the mystery of human freedom can come to declare his act of faith.

Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009

The Gospel states that Jesus' disciples were caught off guard by the resurrection of Jesus, "it did not yet understand the Scripture, namely that he must rise from the dead" (Jn 20.9). Like Martha, they believed in the resurrection on the last day (cf. Jn 11:24), but a resurrection like that of Jesus was not their hopes. They had seen Lazarus out of the tomb, but their eyes were not open to the dimensions of the mystery of salvation.
Not finding the body of Jesus in the tomb, Mary Magdalene thought that someone had taken away, not that he was risen; Thomas and claims to touch the body of Jesus to believe that he was resurrected. Even our eyes of Christians in the twenty-first century struggle to open up the mystery by which God saves the world. Jesus said to Martha: "I never said that if you believe you will see the glory of God?" (Jn 11.40). These words are spoken to us, each of us, now, bump our little faith and urge us to ask that faith in us becoming more real and bigger.

John outran Peter to the tomb out of love he had for Christ, but if he let Peter came first, he did so out of humility. When he reached the tomb first, he was attracted by the love of Christ when they gave precedence to Peter, he was guided by respect to the first of the apostles. Therefore, John has practiced humility against Peter and the faith in Christ.
