This Sunday may be called the feast of the baptismal fullness. " In fact it is a celebration of intimacy between Christ and the faithful reborn with him at Easter. Intimacy that leads to a double movement. On the one hand Jesus came down among us, on the other hand, the believer must turn to him, following the signs of life and remaining in his love, that is united to him as the branches to the vine. Identifying with the true vine, Jesus reveals that the disciples are the branches of that plant which is the spiritual Church (Gospel), which will be flourishing if we keep the commandments of the Master (Reading II).
and whoever receives the Spirit gets the vital knowledge of God, is stimulated to work and fraternal inserted in Christ. In fact, Paul, who saw the risen Lord, was adopted by the Apostles and to proclaim the Name of Jesus to others Jews, so that the Church enjoys the peace and is filled with the consolation of the Spirit (I Read). Jesus then warns that the Father, as winemaker, prune the branch of the vine, painful procedure, but necessary, to bear fruit. Who does not abide in Christ is like a tree that bears fruit: it is thrown into the fire to be burned.

O Lord, the giver of all gifts , is' that what we have bestowed on us, with the help of your grace, produces fruit in abundance, that make us grow in your love. Obtain the Heavenly Father the courage to accept the pruning of suffering and trials of life, to become your authentic disciples and, in union with you, sowers of peace, hope and love, in a world where many will sow seeds of discord and violence.
