Two days after the national tragedy that killed their president, the Poles mourn in silence. Today the body of the president will be on public display in a funeral home, next to that of his wife Maria, whose remains will return this morning in Warsaw. The state funeral will probably take place Saturday. Jacek Sasin, Minister of State for the Presidency, said today that the funeral would be held only when they all arrived the remains of bodies. The work of identification is not completed today, of the 96 deaths in all, nine are still missing. Everywhere in the streets, from the periphery, the old town and especially around the Presidential Palace, are set up makeshift altars with photos of Kaczynski and his wife, with candles and lamps, with bouquets of flowers and Polish flags.
