Nadia Bloom, a young girl of 11 years, suffering from a mild form of autism, has been lost and wandered for five days in the swamps of southern Florida alligator-infested before being found unharmed. The incident occurred in Winter Springs, a small rural town which lies in an area famous for its swamps. The child suffers from Asperger syndrome, a disease that has symptoms similar to autism and that can lead a person to lose all sense of direction. The parents had reported missing last Friday and her sister had reported that Nadia had gone out for a ride on a bicycle. The bicycle was found shortly after, on the edge of Lake Jesup, but no trace of her. The alarm is triggered immediately and has involved not only the police but also many volunteers. The area is very difficult to beat, can not use dogs, helicopters and even the visibility is zero, given the type of vegetation. To find Nadia Bloom, after five days of searching, was a volunteer, James King. The girl had wandered muddy water of the lagoon was covered with mosquito bites, but he was fine and he was only thirsty. A bad adventure with a happy end ... Wednesday, April 14, 2010
